Agnese Čemme (1989) ir vizuālā māksliniece, kas dzīvo un strādā Rīgā. Savos darbos izmanto dažādas tehnikas – tekstu, kolāžu, grafiku un keramiku kā metaforu patstāvīgai kustībai cauri informācijas plūsmai. Pēdējo gadu laikā viņas darbos par svarīgu elementu kļuvis siluets, ēna, kas skatītājā izraisa asociāciju virkni starp valodu, tās fonu un attēliem.
Ar vienkāršiem paņēmieniem tiek radīti attēli, kas aicina apšaubīt mūsu pašu uztveri par objektu un tā pieņemto priekšstatu sistēmu.

A brick motif with the image of a spilled ink running over it. The legs of it firmly holding on the lower edge of the sheet with a cavity in the middle of the body. It's perhaps a houseplant or a vine on a firewall, stretching along it like a splash of darkness, while the writer's hand is reaching for the next word.
Agnese Čemme (1989) is a visual artist living and working in Riga. Her work includes various techniques - text, collage, printmaking and ceramics, as a metaphor of the constant movement through the multiple streams of information. In recent years, the silhouette, a shadow, has become an important element in her work, evoking in a viewer a series of associations between image, its background and multiple ways it can be seen.
Through simple techniques, images are created that invite us to question our own perception of the object and the system of ideas it adopts.
At the Ojārs Vācietis Memorial Museum, Riga, from 1.07 – 20.08 .2023, on view Agnese's exhibition, IMAGE LEAVES THE PAGE from which this zine is made of.
